The MAG Foundation is encouraging physicians in Georgia to attend the ‘National Rx Drug Abuse Summit’ that will take place at the Westin Peachtree Plaza Hotel in Atlanta on March 28-31.
Medical Association of Georgia member Patrice A. Harris, M.D., will give a talk on the “national effort of organized medicine to coordinate and collaborate on a comprehensive approach to America’s opioid epidemic.”
And in a late-breaking development, President Barack Obama has announced that he will speak at the summit on Tuesday, March 29.
Organizers say that, “The National Rx Drug Abuse Summit is the largest national collaboration of professionals from local, state and federal agencies, business, academia, clinicians, treatment providers, counselors, educators, state and national leaders, and advocates impacted by prescription drug abuse.”
